So, i just published my third book…and while to someone of you that might make perfect sense because I’m a writer, up until eight months ago; I was suffering from such dark depression, and ptsd that I didn’t think I would ever write a book again.

In the space of three years I got diagnosed with two clots in my lungs during pregnancy; I gave birth to Jonah two months early in a traumatic birth that could have ended fatally for both of us; my relationship ended painfully; and some more heavy shit pilled on just for laughs. So many parts of the me I used to be were dead and I believed I would never write again because I had nothing but void and bone deep sadness to give.

Twelve months ago when I was just beginning heavy therapy for my PTSD and depression and feeling dead inside, I randomly stumbled upon a quote from rapper Min Yoon-gi of BTS, that reminded me of a truth that I had forgotten in my pain and heartache. His words reminded me that true, transcendent love is the theme of my existence, and that as long as I had love for myself and others – I could live again and WRITE AGAIN.

So, I wrote Sugar and the Black Cat.

A philosophical story about a broken hearted man that goes by Sugar…

A mystical black cat that speaks in queens English…

An African woman who walks in dreams…

and a fuck ton of heartache, healing and love.

This book is the rawest tale I’ve ever penned and it’s dedicated to my son – Jonah-Free who I nicknamed Sugar since the day I first held him, because he is the sweetness of my life.

So, check it out on Amazon Kindle…it’s a flippin good read. And Believe it will help resurrect those dead and wounded parts of your soul with love and humour.

Also, a portion of all profits will go to charities that help save precious preemie babies like my son Jonah. To all the beautiful souls who have been a part of my healing…I fucking love you all.

And P.S…thank you, Min Yoon-gi for injecting your love and truth in your music and your words. Be good and kind to yourself, love yourself and fill your life up with the truest love.
